Since its formation in 1987, Blackburn Village Residents Group (BVRG) has aimed to ensure that the interests of local residents are recognised in all planning issues affecting Blackburn.

BVRG become an incorporated association in September 2006 – No. A0049305U. New Model Rules were adopted in 2013.
